Saint Great Dane Renaissance Dog Candle
I am Magnus, a Great Dane born in 1481 in the grand halls of Mantua. From my first unsteady steps, they called me “majestic.” But what they meant was massive. I didn’t walk—I collided. I knocked over fruit carts with my tail and shattered a lute just by turning around.
I longed to be graceful like the palace spaniels. I practiced courtly bows, but my legs folded like breadsticks. Nobles praised me from a distance—up close, I was chaos wrapped in velvet.
I crushed chairs, spilled ink, and once sat on the bishop. But I was gentle, loyal, and kind-hearted—if not particularly coordinated.
Over time, they saw the charm beneath the clumsiness. I wasn’t born to tiptoe through ballrooms—I was born to love loudly, to guard fiercely, and to take up space in both the palace… and their hearts.
Tall white candle, hand poured in Mexico, design and assembled in the USA. Candle is unscented. Great Dane dog, Renaissance-style art prayer candle.
