Saint Schnauzer Renaissance Dog Candle
I was born in 1490 beneath the gray skies of Bremen, my coat as bristly as the town’s tavern tongues. They called me Sir Dietrich—not for nobility, but for the way I stood guard outside my family's bakery. I chased off thieves, barked at drunks, and once bit the bishop’s robe (purely symbolic).
I was bred for vigilance, forged in loyalty. A sentinel with sharp eyes and sharper teeth. But at night, I'd curl beneath the hearth, head resting on the baker’s boot, soothed by lullabies I pretended not to hear.
I once saved a kitten and claimed it was “for patrol purposes.” It still naps on my back.
They see my beard and bark, think me only steel. But beneath it all lives a heart—wary, warm, and worn with purpose. I am a guard, yes. But also, quietly, a guardian.
Tall white candle, hand poured in Mexico, design and assembled in the USA. Candle is unscented. Schnauzer dog, Renaissance-style art prayer candle.
